Kana Kamitsubo-Markovic, MT-BC
Kana is the founder & owner of Hug Music: music studio located in NYC serving 200+ students per week. She’s a board-certified music therapist who specializes in serving children with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties to build confidence, self-esteem and learning skills using music as a strong tool. Kana is also a professional pianist & composer who performs with her husband Sasha in a piano-guitar duo, Yagull. Their most recent performance includes the United Nation’s 75th anniversary events and the concert in the National Museum of Serbia.

Natalie Generally Kirk, MMEd, LPMT, MT-BC (she/her)
Natalie is a licensed, board certified music therapist and a certified music teacher in the state of Georgia with over 15 years experience working in the school setting and private practice. She is the owner of Small Steps Music LLC and provides music therapy services in Fulton County Public Schools. Natalie earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Piano Performance from Emory University and a Master’s in Music Education and Music Therapy Equivalency from The University of Georgia. She has served in a variety of state, regional, and national roles within the field of music therapy, including President of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia (MTAG) and Chair of the Continuing Education Committee for the South-Eastern Region of AMTA (SER-AMTA). Natalie currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and President Elect for the South-Eastern Region of the American Music Therapy Association (SER-AMTA).

Meredith Hamons, MT-BC
Meredith founded North Austin Music Therapy in 2010 to expand possibilities for children to older adults through the power of music. She uses her broad-based clinical training and over a decade of experience to create effective, customized treatment approaches, both in individual therapy and group programming. She gained national recognition after going viral for her innovative work during the covid-19 global pandemic. Her first book, Musically Engaged Seniors was published in 2013 and is now used in music therapy college curriculums. She co-authored a second book, Music, Memory and Meaning, which was published in 2017. In addition to her clinical work, Meredith has gained recognition as a speaker and notable engagements include the National Music Therapy Conference in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2018; the Texas Parent to Parent State Conference in 2010, 2011, and 2014; the Brain Injury Association of Texas State Conference in 2011; and the Mensa Regional Conference in 2018. She has a course that was released on mted.com in 2018 and was the featured keynote speaker at the Perfect Harmony Workshop in 2021.

Miya Adout, MA, MTA (she/her)
Miya is a graduate of Concordia University where she received a Master of Arts in Creative Arts Therapies after completed a BA in Cultural Studies. Miya works with individuals of all ages and abilities and specializes in dementia care. As a passionate entrepreneur, Miya opened her private practice, Miya Music Therapy, in 2015 with the mission to empower individuals and enrich patient care through music therapy. MMT now consists of a leadership team and a team of music therapists who provide services to individuals and care facilities throughout Ontario via in-person and virtual sessions. Aside from her clinical work, Miya enjoys sharing the impact of music therapy through keynote presentations and engaging workshops. Miya is the current Education Chair for the Music Therapy Association of Ontario, provides business and leadership coaching to entrepreneurs, and is the creator of Connect 2 Music Therapy: An Online Global Magazine for Music Therapists. When she’s not working on all of the above, you can find Miya spending time with her toddler, enjoying nature, and practicing photography.

Noel Anderson, MMT, MT-BC
Noel has been a business owner for nearly all of her fourteen years as a music therapist. She established Anderson Music Therapy in 2011 to serve people with diverse needs, birth through older adulthood. As a high C and D on the DISC Index, she loves to create structure, order, and systems where they once didn’t exist. Noel also enjoys supporting and empowering the people around her to meet their goals. She can’t help but share when she discovers something that might help a fellow entrepreneur. She loves learning and passing on that knowledge to benefit others. Noel received a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Immaculata University after completing her clinical internship at Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy in Philadelphia. She earned a Master of Music Therapy degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She continued her education by obtaining certification in Neurologic Music Therapy at Colorado State University. Along with her music therapy certification she holds a certification for music education. While not growing her business, Noel enjoys spending time with her energetic 6 year old twins and her husband.

Kat is a multi-passionate keynote speaker, who has been quoted in major media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, HuffPo, and Epoch Times. She’s facilitated drum circles for the US Surgeon General, Americans for the Arts, NAMM, Museum of Making Music, Qualcomm, Intuit, and more. She is highly sought-out as a retreat facilitator and leader in the healing arts. Kat ran a private practice for 12 years in San Diego, and she is currently the director of MusicTherapyEd.com, the premier resource for music therapy continuing education.

I don't have a business yet. Will this help me start one?
Yep! The principles taught in the course are perfect for you, and should set you up for a strong start!
How much time will the 2021 Mentorship Program take?
We believe that if you put in 2 hours per week on the homework, you will reach your goals. The more you put into the program, the more you’ll get out, and the better your results will be!
When the program is over, can I still access the materials?
Yes! This program will be available to you as long as you maintain an active VIP membership. Please keep in mind that if you become a VIP member after June 28th, 2021, you’ll not have access to this program. This is intended to be a synchronous, cohort-based program.
May I get continuing education credits for this course?
Yes! If you are a music therapist or counselor who submits credits to CBMT, then fill out the final evaluation when it’s released (around August 3rd), and you’ll receive 23 approved credits with a fancy official CMTE certificate.
What if I want to launch a product? or something other than services? Should I sign up?
The 2021 Mentorship Program uses timeless business principles that can be applied to any entrepreneurial pursuit, whether you’re offering products, consulting, or services.
I'm not a music therapist. Can I sign up?
Yep! The principles taught in the course can be applicable to any business owner.
What are the topics covered in the 6 modules?
The program is fairly comprehensive for someone starting a business: Goal-Setting, Branding & Marketing, Relationship Building, Rate Setting, Systems, Integration & Next Level Growth.
