“This course is a perfect primer for anyone looking to expand their knowledge on music therapy in end of life care. I previously worked for a hospice in Pasadena, CA. I wish I had taken this course back then! I now understand some aspects of hospice music therapy that I didn’t really understand back in 2010. Dr. Masko is articulate and passionate about the subject presented, and does an excellent job with organizing concepts within the course. The pace of the course and her communication style were conducing to absorbing the material. Thank you fort his informative course!”
“I feel more confident starting a music therapy program at a hospice facility in my area.”
“I had no hesitations upon enrolling for the course! I am re-inspired and affirmed that I would best fit in the field of hospice care. Would I recommend this? Definitely. I think that everyone would benefit from learning about hospice services, and the benefits of music therapy. Death and living is something everyone does, so this would be applicable for everyone.”
“Would I recommend this course? Yes, because it is a great overview of hospice music therapy, from pre-assessment to outcomes and ethical considerations. Professor Masko is excellent.”
“I thought Meganne’s mix of didactic learning and practical examples was really a nice touch.”
“The poem at the beginning had me in tears, I knew I was in trouble. Very nice way to open this course, it was beautiful.”
“Would I recommend this course? Absolutely! The information was very well organized, and the instructor quite knowledgeable!”
“I would definitely recommend this course to others. It is a good introduction and overview of the work and the work environment of a music therapist in end of life care. The course was easy to listen to and learn from. I appreciated the case studies and the instructor’s singing!”
“This course is highly educational and anyone working in hospice as well as long-term care can really benefit from this course.”
“I really enjoyed this course! I think that Dr. Masko very thoroughly described what you may expect and need to consider when working with hospice patients. It serves as a great introduction to hospice work as well as a tool for further insight.”
“I knew this was going to be an emotional course, but I am glad that I took it. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences and for creating this course. It really helped to open my eyes to hospice care. Professor Masko had the right balance of personal experiences coupled with references and studies and renewed my affirmation of the power of music. I really enjoy the ease of taking a course such as this in my home. It allows me to take a break if things become too emotionally overwhelming, rather than having to wait for a presenter to take a break. This is heavy material, and I enjoyed being able to complete it at my own pace.”
